UKM (Ung Kultur Møtes) is the festival where young people aged 13 to 20 get to showcase their creativity – on stage, in the studio, or behind the scenes. Here, they can test their skills, experience achievement, and be part of an inclusive community. The audience listens, cheers, and cares – making the experience even more special.
UKM in Rogaland – February 14
On February 14, UKM took place in Rogaland. Youth from across the county could participate with everything from dance and music to art exhibitions. The evening was full of energy and diversity – from calm paintings to intense dance moves and bands that made the room sway.
The Core Takes the Stage
One of the evening’s big stars was the dance group The Core, who will go on to represent Sandnes in the county competition in April. They danced to the song Bad Man by Missy Elliott, and from the very first second, their energy was contagious.
With strong movements, precision, and confidence, they filled the entire stage. The audience got swept up in the performance, and it was clear that the group is like a big family – supporting and lifting each other both on and off the stage.
