Shooting in Oslo. Man Dead, Four People Arrested

Oslo, Torshov. On Saturday evening, dramatic events unfolded in the Torshov district of the capital. Around 7:57 PM, police received a report of a serious act of violence in an apartment. At the scene, officers found a severely injured man. Despite immediate medical assistance, he could not be saved.

Police Operation

Investigators immediately launched a homicide investigation. On the same day, the first suspect was arrested—a man around 50 years old. In the following hours, three more people were taken into custody: a second man aged 50, a 40-year-old man, and a woman in her fifties.

The operation involved armed units, tracking dogs, and a police helicopter. Officers also secured a weapon linked to the incident.

Victim and Suspects Known to Police

Preliminary findings indicate that the victim was a man around 30 years old, shot in an apartment he did not reside in but which was in his neighborhood. Both he and the suspects were previously known to the police.

“These are individuals connected to the local drug scene. There are personal links between the suspects,” said Knut Lutro, who is leading the investigation.

“I Heard a Shot” – Witness Account

The police were alerted by a neighbor. “At first, I thought someone was breaking down the door. Only later did I realize it was a gunshot,” the witness told the media. According to him, several people appeared to flee the apartment.

Community in Shock

Although authorities assure that there is no reason for residents of Torshov to fear for their safety, the case has caused significant concern in Oslo. Investigators are conducting intensive interrogations, analyzing CCTV footage, and do not rule out further arrests.
