Stavanger Closer to Warsaw: LOT Launches New Flight Route
By the end of November 2025, a new route will appear on the air travel map that is sure to delight both the Polish community in Norway and Norwegian tourists. Starting November 24, LOT Polish Airlines will operate year-round, direct flights from Stavanger (Sola Airport) to Warsaw. Flights will operate four times a week – on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays – giving passengers plenty of flexibility when planning their trips.
The flight will take approximately two hours. Departures from Warsaw are scheduled in the morning, with return flights from Stavanger in the early afternoon. The airline will use modern Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft on this route, further enhancing travel comfort.
The new line is intended not only for tourists but also for business travelers and those visiting family. The Rogaland region, home to a large community of Poles working in the oil and gas industry, has long awaited such a connection. Now, traveling to the Polish capital will become simpler and faster.
Although tickets for this route are just entering the market, it is already possible to compare prices for available flights between Stavanger and Warsaw. According to Skyscanner, the lowest one-way fares start at around $63, with return tickets available from $136. Kiwi.com shows offers around £64 for a one-way flight and about £153 for a round trip. Google Flights indicates that prices can start from 621 PLN for a one-way ticket. LOT’s final fares are likely to be similar, with additional promotions expected closer to the route’s launch date.
This new connection gives Warsaw another link to Norway, while Stavanger becomes an important hub in air travel connections with European capitals. For passengers, this means easier access to business, culture, and family visits; for the airline, it strengthens its position in the Scandinavian region.
It is worth emphasizing that Warsaw is not just a destination. LOT also offers a wide network of connecting flights, allowing passengers from Stavanger to conveniently travel further – both to other cities in Poland and to numerous destinations across Europe, North America, and Asia.
The new route thus promises to be a major convenience and another bridge connecting Poland with Norway. For many travelers, it may mark the start of more frequent visits to their hometowns or an opportunity to explore Warsaw’s attractions – from the historic Old Town, through the modern business district, to the city’s rich cultural and culinary offerings.
